Even a seasoned presenter can benefit from periodically reviewing and updating their approach to leading a conference session. This program will give participants the skills and confidence to design and deliver an engaging, informative conference session.
The Conference Presenter program comprises two phases:
- Drafting and submitting an abstract: encouraging both new and experienced presenters to submit an abstract on a topic relevant to your professional field
- Presenting with confidence: learning to design and deliver an informative, engaging conference session
The program schedule aligns with the deadlines for the 2019 Tertiary Education Management Conference (TEMC), with the aim of raising the profile of ATEM and its members in the conference program.
The Conference Presenter course is also suitable for people who wish to become presenters at other conferences.
One fee covers two development workshops, the rehearsal, and a debrief session in October.
Discounted rate for members of the Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) in Victoria and Tasmania: $150 members, $260 affiliates.
Non-members are also welcome to participate, for a fee of $300. (Tip: a 12-month tax-deductible ATEM membership is cheaper than the course fee!)
